Chimpanzee, Nature Walks and Game Drive
While on this safari, you will Enjoy nature walks in Bigodi wetland Sanctuary,Birding,Chaimpanzee trekking , beautiful scenery and cave walk on the first part of your safari to Kibale forest national park and Fort portal town. In queen Elizabeth National Park you will enjoy game drives along the kasenyi track, the naboon cliff, Kyambura gorge and a 2 hr boat cruise along the kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Edward and the Ishasha Tree Climbing lions as you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park .On the last leg of this safari, you will track Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetratble national Park .
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our representative who will transfer you for overnight at Entebbe Airport View Guest House (Budget) or Boma Hotel (Midrange) or Protea Hotel Entebbe (Classic). Meal Plan BB.
Day 2: Transfer to Fort Portal Town and Bigodi Nature walk/Hike (Approximately 7hrs)
After breakfast, we transfer to Fort portal town arriving on time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, we will go for nature walk/hiking in the Bigodi Wet Land Sanctuary where there has been recorded 8 species of Primates, over 200 bird species including the sanctuary’s great Blue Turaco, variety of trees, shrubs and vines and it takes about 3 hrs to complete this enlightening walk/discovery of one of Uganda’s natures best kept secret. Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and hike to “ top of the world”
Prepare for morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. Your nature walk with the experienced guides will give you a lot of insight into the lives of primates and will surprise you at how well organized and close to human beings these Chimpanzees are. Recorded in this Park are diurnal primates including the vervet, red tailed, L, Hoest’s, Blue monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, red colobus, black and White colobus but the stars of this trail are the Chimpanzees after your hike you have lunch at Primate Lodge and later drive to the crater Areas for a hike up a hill known as ”The Top of the World“, where you can take in fantastic views of the crater lakes and the town of Fort Portal. To end your day, we will tour the Amabereganyinamwiru Ancient Caves and learn the history of the local people who once called these caves home. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park for dinner and over night at Nature Lodge or Kyambura Lodge or Mweya Lodge. Meal Plan FB.
Day 4 – Game Drive and Boatcruise
Early morning at 6.30 am, we will go for a game drive along the tracks of the national park, in the Northern side towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. This is the best time to spot the big cats and other animals in this park as they do their morning hunt. You might see lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, perhaps the leopard though it is shy and rare to be seen. Reach up to the Baboon cliffs and the splendid crater lakes region. You will return to the lodge by 9.30 for breakfast. After Lunch, take the most exciting safari by boat from Mweya peninsula along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photographs. You will see plenty of hippos, buffaloes and elephants when they come to water at along the channel to cool down the heat of the day. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest
After breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge, a deep forested gorge along river Kyambura within Queen Elizabeth National Park. The location is worth a visit and, if you are fit to descend the gorge for a nature walk, you might encounter the chimpanzees. Kyambura has a population of about 50 chimpanzees. After lunch Proceed to Bwindi National Park, home to the famous mountain Gorillas.The choice of the area of the “gorilla safari” depends on the availability and allocation of the permits for this activity. Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma Community (B) or Silver Back Lodge (M) or Mahogany Springs( C)

Day 6 – Mountain Gorilla Safari
Early in the morning you enter the rain tropical forest of Bwindi for the gorilla safari. The activity starts at 8am and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas. Bwindi forest in Uganda has a population of about 350 gorillas, which is half the world population according to 2007 gorilla population surveys. It is not predictable the time you will spend to encounter the gorillas. You have one hour for observing the primates and their behaviours, while taking photographs. Ensure you take the packed lunch and water with you. Dinner and overnight as above.
